About our pastor

After retiring from a pastorate of 40 years, Pastor Rick was convinced by good friends to start an independent, multi-denominational Christian church, "New Light" in 2005. The experience has presented new faith and an energized spirit. We are made up of several denominations and attempt to include some of the rituals of churches that represent our people. We are Bible centered and our beliefs are contained in the Apostles Creed.  

Pastor Rick has come under new convictions:  "With everything going on in our country right now, it has been demoralizing to watch us progressively travel away from what our founding fathers designed in the form of a Constitution. The precepts of the Judaeo/Christian ethic system have been forgotten, never learned or just plain disagreed with. This movement has given rise to anti-Godly decisions being made by political parties. The time has come, and is here, for pulpit ministers to speak out on the immorality, and the dangerous move toward a socialistic nation. We are digressing in the same way as pre-war Germany, Cuba, Venezuela and other countries that have allowed the tyranny of those seeking power and control over the masses to prevail. If we local pastors do not begin immediately to educate/remind our people of our heritage and history we too, are headed in the same self destructive direction. For this reason I have joined the Black Robe Regiment to share and receive resources that will play a role in the support and continued experiment of a free Republic."

Pastor Rick has the gift of teaching while he preaches, in a way that anyone can understand.  His knowledge of the bible runs far and deep, and he will leave you wanting to know more!
